Plainly: we only use what you send us to help you.
What we collect
If you contact us through this site, we collect the name, email address, reason for contact, and any note you choose to provide. That's it. We don't ask for a phone number, an address, or details about your case in the form, and we ask that you not include sensitive information there.
How we use it
We use your contact information only to respond to you and to continue the conversation you started. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees it
Messages go to a monitored Roof Over My Heart inbox and are read by staff and authorized volunteers who help with intake and follow-up. We share information with a third party only when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
Donations
Donations are processed by GivingEdge on their own platform. Payment details are handled there, under their privacy practices, and we never see or store your card information.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it's useful for the help you asked for and for our recordkeeping obligations as a nonprofit, and then we dispose of it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@roofovermyheart.org and tell us what you'd like.
Children
This site isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
